غرفه ایران در اکسپو دبی هیچُم شد!
اکسپو ۲۰۲۰ دبی با واگذاری میزبانی این نمایشگاه در سال ۲۰۲۵ به ژاپن، به ۵۱ کشور مدال طلا، نقره و برنز اهدا کرد و با جذب ۲۳ میلیون نفر بازدیدکننده، پس از شش ماه برگزاری به کار خود پایان داد
سرانجام اکسپو همزمان با پایان این رویداد جهانی، برترین‌ها را معرفی کرد. جوایزی که به پنج دسته مختلف تقسیم می‌شود، غرفه‌های کشورها را از سه جنبه بررسی کرده است: «معماری و منظر» (فقط برای غرفه‌های خودساخته)، «طراحی نمایشگاهی» و «تفسیر موضوع» که عربستان سعودی، هلند و سنگاپور در رده‌بندی «معماری و منظر» در صدر قرار گرفتند.
در «طراحی نمایشگاه»، ژاپن، پرو و مراکش در بخش خودساخته برنده شدند، در حالی‌که مکزیک که دارای نمای قلاب‌بافی است که توسط ۱۰۰ زن در یک شهر کوچک تولید شده، در بین غرفه‌های اجاره‌ای، بهترین رتبه را کسب کرد.
آلمان، عمان و مالزی نیز به عنوان بهترین غرفه در «تفسیر موضوع» در دسته پاویون‌های خودساخته انتخاب شدند، در حالی‌که سوریه در این بخش و در بین غرفه‌های اجاره‌ای، بهترین شناخته شد.
برگزیدگان توسط هیأت داوران بین‌المللی متشکل از ۹ کارشناس در طیف وسیعی از زمینه‌های مرتبط انتخاب شدند. هیأت داوران از هر غرفه در اکسپو ۲۰۲۰ دو بار بازدید کرده است. اعطای جوایز به پاویون‌های برتر در اکسپو یک سنت دیرینه است که به نمایشگاه بزرگ ۱۸۵۱ لندن بازمی‌گردد. انتخاب برترین‌ها و اهدای جوایز، برای چند سال متوقف شده بود تا دوباره در اکسپو ۲۰۰۵ آیچی در ژاپن احیا شد.
اکسپو دبی همچنین کشورهایی را که نوآوری‌های چشمگیری در زمینه «فرصت»، «تحرک» و «پایداری» ـ سه بخش موضوعی اکسپو ۲۰۲۰ دبی ـ به نمایش گذاشته بودند معرفی کرد که بهترین نوآوری که به “پایداری” دست می‌یابد، به غرفه هلند برای مزرعه عمودی و غرفه ایتالیا برای گواهینامه پایداری ISO ۲۰۱۲۱ اختصاص داشت.
جایزه بهترین نوآوری که «فرصت» ایجاد می‌کند نیز به پاویون جمهوری چک برای سیستم تولید آب S.A.W.E.R و غرفه تونس برای ربات گشتی مستقل و خودمختار P-Guard رسید.
بهترین نوآوری که «تحرک» ایجاد می‌کند نیز به غرفه عربستان سعودی برای آسانسورهای شیب‌دار و پاویون سوئد برای سیستم امنیتی Incedo اختصاص داشت.

پاویون ایران در زمان اجرا و در طول برگزاری، با نقدهای بسیاری مواجه شد. بیشتر این نقدها درباره معماری ضعیف و ناهمخوان با ساختار هویتی ایران، ارائه ناقص و ضعیفِ محتوا و خلاء مدیریتی بود و بارها درباره نگاه صرفا اقتصادی و بازاری به غرفه ایران تذکر داده شد. نظر بسیاری از کارشناسان داخلی بر این بود که پایون ایران در بیان مفهوم و انتقال هویت و ظرفیت، الکن و ناتوان بوده و صرفا به غرفه‌فروشی به برندها و شرکت‌هایی که برخی از آن‌ها نیز توازنی با رویداد اکسپو نداشتند، روی آورده بود.
