In a remarkable showcase of innovation and technology, the GITEX 2024 Supernova competition crowned a Lithuanian medical technology startup, Longenesis, as the winner of its prestigious $100,000 prize. Held in Dubai, GITEX is known as one of the largest technology exhibitions globally, where cutting-edge startups compete for recognition and rewards.

This year’s GITEX featured the Expand North Star section, hosting over 1,800 startups. More than 450 startups from around 80 countries vied for lucrative cash prizes, highlighting the event’s global appeal and competitive spirit. Longenesis stood out by demonstrating how digital health innovation could revolutionize patient care and treatment development.
Emil Syundyukov, co-founder and CEO of Longenesis, emphasized the startup’s mission in an interview, stating, “Our focus is on unlocking the hidden value of health data. By engaging broader populations in data sharing, we facilitate more effective treatments and enable quicker doctor access to those in need.” He proudly noted that winning the $100,000 GITEX prize is just the beginning for Longenesis. The startup aims to expand its impact, pushing geographical boundaries in healthcare research, especially in regions like the Persian Gulf, recognized as a hubfor healthcare innovations.
The second-place winner was ProfilePrint from Singapore, which clinched $60,000. ProfilePrint operates an AI-based platform that assesses the quality of food raw materials, enhancing the decision-making processes for agricultural companies to boost product quality and efficiency.
